Broader local work sits on Local SEO.

HyperLocal Marketing

For businesses where a customer three kilometres away is a customer and one at eight kilometres is not. Restaurants, clinics, salons, gyms, delivery-radius retail and multi-outlet brands competing street by street.

Search Engine Optimization

Being found on Google, in AI answers, on maps and in marketplaces.

Constraint
There is no single ranking position.

Why proximity changes everything

In hyperlocal search, distance between searcher and business is a dominant ranking factor and you cannot influence it. You will rank first for someone standing outside and not appear at all for someone across town. Any agency promising you a ranking position has misunderstood the mechanic.

So the objective changes. Instead of one position, we work on visibility across your realistic catchment — measured on a grid of points around your location, which is the only honest way to report it. And instead of one profile, multi-outlet brands need each location competing without cannibalising the others.

What’s included

Catchment grid measurement

Reporting visibility at multiple points across your service area rather than a single misleading average position.

Near-me query optimisation

Structuring profiles and pages for the implicit-location queries that dominate this category.

Google Business Profile depth

Categories, services, products, attributes, hours and the photograph and post cadence that affects local prominence.

Delivery and service radius

Configuring service-area businesses correctly, which behaves quite differently from a physical storefront.

Neighbourhood content

Pages built around locality and landmark terms people actually use, rather than administrative area names they do not.

Multi-outlet management

Store locator architecture, distinct outlet pages, and stopping your own branches competing for the same neighbourhood queries.

Review velocity per outlet

Consistent review generation at location level, since aggregate brand reviews do little for an individual outlet.

Local aggregator presence

Visibility on the platforms that matter in your sector, where a large share of local discovery actually happens.

Questions

How is this different from local SEO?

It is local SEO with a tighter radius and different reporting. Where standard local work might target a city, hyperlocal targets neighbourhoods, and success is measured on a geographic grid rather than a ranking position.

We have 15 outlets in one city. Do they compete?

Almost certainly, and that is usually the biggest available win. Duplicate outlet pages and overlapping targeting mean your locations suppress each other rather than covering the city between them.

Can we rank outside our immediate area?

Marginally, and with diminishing returns. Proximity limits how far you can reach. If you need genuine city-wide or national reach, that is a different strategy involving paid and broader organic work.

Do reviews really matter that much?

In this category, yes — both volume and recency. A steady flow of recent reviews outperforms a larger number from two years ago, and it is one of the few prominence factors you can directly influence.

What about food delivery and similar aggregators?

For many local businesses those platforms are where discovery happens, so we treat presence there as part of the work rather than a separate channel.
