Email Marketing
Usually the highest-return channel in a marketing mix and usually the most neglected. It is also the only one where no platform sits between you and your audience, which is worth more than it used to be.
- Root cause
- Most email problems are not creative.
Deliverability is a technical problem
When email performance is poor, the discussion usually turns to subject lines. Frequently the actual issue is that a meaningful share of your sends never reach an inbox — authentication misconfigured, sending reputation damaged by a purchased list years ago, or a shared IP polluted by other senders.
This is diagnosable and fixable, and it sits closer to systems administration than to marketing. SPF, DKIM and DMARC configured correctly. Reputation monitoring. List hygiene that removes unengaged addresses rather than emailing them indefinitely because the list size looks better.
Get that right first. Creative testing on email that is being filtered is measuring noise.

What’s included
Deliverability audit and repair
Authentication records, sending reputation, blocklist status and inbox placement testing. The first thing we look at.
Lifecycle automation
Welcome, onboarding, abandonment, post-purchase and reactivation flows, which produce most automated revenue.
Campaign strategy and calendar
What to send, to whom, how often — usually less frequently than platforms encourage.
Segmentation
Behavioural and lifecycle segmentation, so relevance improves rather than volume increasing.
Template and design
Accessible, fast-loading templates that render correctly across clients, including the ones that block images by default.
List hygiene
Sunset policies for unengaged contacts, which improves deliverability for everyone remaining.
Testing
Subject, content and send-time testing on results that are statistically meaningful rather than anecdotal.
Platform migration
Moving between platforms without destroying sending reputation, which is easier to get wrong than expected.

Questions
How often should we email?
Almost always less than your platform suggests and more consistently than you currently do. The right frequency depends on what you have to say; sending to fill a calendar trains people to ignore you.
Our open rates dropped suddenly. Why?
Either a deliverability problem or the privacy features that inflate and distort open reporting. Open rate has become unreliable as a metric — we would look at clicks and revenue per recipient instead.
Can we buy a list?
No. It destroys sending reputation, it is unlawful in many jurisdictions, and the damage takes months to undo. Every engagement where we have found a purchased list in the history has had deliverability problems traceable to it.
Which platform should we use?
Depends on your stack and whether you need deep ecommerce or CRM integration. We are not tied to any and will say when your current platform is fine and switching would just cost you money.
Is email still effective?
Consistently among the highest returns per rupee, and increasingly valuable because you own the list. No algorithm change can take your audience away.
